High standards
Airwise is owned by Greg Hamerton, one of the world’s leading paragliding instructors, with over three decades of experience.
We only accept licenced paraglider pilots: you need to be an independent pilot capable of launching and landing unsupervised.
We run streamed weeks with pilots of a similar skill level, so we can enjoy similar tasks and flying sites.
To get the most out of your week, membership of the Flight Academy is highly recommended. This ensures that you build a complete foundation of knowledge before you attend.
In the house
It’s very remote, scenic, and the house is a non-smoking space.
You’ll get a private bedroom (bedding and towels are provided), access to extensive grounds, swimming pool and great facilities (fridge, kitchen, lounge, washing machine, high speed internet).
There are three bathrooms with shared access between six bedrooms.
We provide a self-service continental breakfast (toast, coffee, milk, eggs, bread, cheese, yoghurt, muesli, juice and fruit).
In the evenings we usually find a restaurant in a convenient town, depending on where we’ve been flying and what is open. If you prefer, you could cook something in the kitchen.
We visit a supermarket on the first day, and can collect supplies on some days. There are no shops within walking distance of the house.
